What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us...

Today we celebrated Grandpa Cichon's Birthday! We went up to Colorado Springs and had a great dinner made by Ann McCance, Tom's Sister. Uncle John, Aunt Jeanne, Kathy, Danielle, Beth, Monica, Nicole, Greg, Aunt Ann, Uncle Shawn, Therese, Michael, Sarah, Johnny, Joey, and Uncle Gerry, were all there. And don't forget the birthday cake! Here are a couple of pics of Caleb and his Grandma and Grandpa Cichon.

Valentine's Day Activities

Valentine's Day is a special day for our family. Not only is it a day of romance, but it is Grandpa Cichon's Birthday! We celebrated all weekend for the most part. Tom detoured from his traditional Valentine's gift for me-- he boils for me! Meaning, he makes a special candlelight dinner made up of all things boiled, like artichokes for appetizers, and lobster and crab legs for dinner, even boiled potatoes and veggies! Amazing how many things taste good boiled! But I digress-- this year, he made us reservations in Canon City at an Italian restaurant called Merlino's Belvedere. A Fourth generation restaurant with exquisite food! They had a special Chef's Night of "tantalizing exotic tastes to provoke sensual emotions of love" (that was on the menu) It was a 7 course meal that took two hours to eat! Everything from steak, pasta, lobster latee (kind of a bisque), to almond custard floating in almond milk with rasperries and Belgium chocolate. Every course came with chef's choice of wine as well. It was a wonderful evening!

Caleb had a good time as well! He spent the evening with his best friend Mason Shepard, watching "Horton Hears A Who" and eating popcorn! Brandi said they actually sat and watched the show for a long time--at least long time in baby time! Here is a pic of the two boys watching the show, sitting with Bunny and Lammy, their prospective pals!

A Day At The Zoo!

On Friday, Mommy and Caleb went to the Pueblo Zoo! Caleb loved all the animals, especially the penguins! He is totally into the movie, "Happy Feet", and it was so funny watching him show the penguins how to do the Happy Feet dance!
In the petting zoo area, they have a huge concrete egg to take pictures with, and Caleb was mad because he couldn't roll it onto his feet to carry it
like the penguins do in the movie!!
We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and Caleb walked the entire zoo! Toward the end, he was so tired he was tripping over his feet! But all he kept saying was "no ride momma, walk. No tired" It was a really nice sunny 50 degree day, so all the animals were out and active--much better than in the summer months.
Here are some pictures of our fun day!
